Sylas Kimutai Chebogel of Kenya was the run away winner of the Palmira Half Marathon, recording 1:02:31 to beat Samson Gebreyohannes of Eritrea by nearly 2 minutes. Samson's time was 1:04:19 and third was Peter Nkaya of Kenya n 1:04:33. The women's race saw a popular winner in Peruvian Ines Melchor in 1:12:28, also well ahead of second, defending champion Sherwage Alene of Ethiopia 1:13:48 and Kelly Arias of Colombia was 3rd in 1:14:43.
