News | Zyusko take Dublin Marathon women’s victory; Omwenga takes second in men’s race

Dublin, Ireland - Russia's Larisa Zyusko took the women's division of the Dublin City Marathon in 2 hours, 29 minutes and 55 seconds after a hard-fought victory and a 15,000 Euro first prize.
She had eight seconds to spare over the second-placed Haile Kebebush of Ethiopia after a dramatic finish. Ethiopian Hadish Letay Negash finished third in 2:31:13. Thomas Omwenga of Kenya led much of the race before being passed by eventual winner Andriy Naumov after the 30K mark. Omwenga’s time of 2:12:29 was 83 seconds behind the winner. Britain's Tomas Abyu claimed third place in 2:13:06.
